The work of the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation is supported by the Global Foundations Unit (GFU) of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI). The GFU was established in the IDI Strategic Plan 2019-2023 and is responsible for coordinating strategic partnerships, measuring and maintaining data on SAIs and support to SAIs, helping to broker support to SAIs and advocating and communicating good practices for working with SAIs. As part of these efforts, the GFU provides support to the INTOSAI-Donor Steering Committee in implementing the MoU principles. The GFU also maintains close contact and collaboration with the Chairs and Vice Chairs of the Cooperation between meetings.
From 2010 to 2018, the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation was supported by the INTOSAI-Donor Secretariat, an independent unit that was hosted by IDI. The Secretariat was fully integrated into IDI at the start of 2019, with its workload and staff migrating to the newly-established GFU. Through this 2016 document, the IDI Board and the SC Leadership on behalf of the INTOSAI-Donor Steering Committee agreed to the roles and responsibilities of the respective bodies in relation to the governance of the INTOSAI-Donor Secretariat. This document has been superseded by new agreements.
