Continued core support to AFROSAI-E is expected to contribute to fulfilling the
Strategy objective “Enhanced capacity of regional actors to work towards strengthened
democracy and the rule of law, gender equality and increased respect for human rights,
with a focus on the rights of women and children” under the results area II
“Strengthened democracy and gender equality and greater respect for human rights” in
the Strategy for Sweden’s regional development cooperation in Sub-Saharan Africa
2016-2021.
