The International Legislative Audit Assistance Program (ILAAP) aims to improve value for money in public expenditures by building sustainable audit and legislative oversight capacity of the Supreme Audit Institutions and Public Accounts Committees (PACs) of thirteen countries to fight corruption, improve governance and accountability and focus resources on results. The project creates networks and partnerships among Canadian and international audit offices and their representative institutions, Public Accounts Committees in Canada and abroad, and donors. The project activity is closely aligned with the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions. The project delivers forensic and environmental audits and supports Public Accounts Committees and other oversight committees. Finally, ILAAP provides internship opportunities with Canadian audit offices at both federal and provincial levels.
