Institutional Reform and Capacity Building Technical Assistance Project – SAI Kenya
The project’s subcomponent supported the strengthening of capacity of the Kenya National Audit Office to help enhance financial accountability in the public sector.
The project supported ongoing initiatives to clear the substantial backlog of overdue Local Authorities audit reporting arrears and to prevent occurrence of new audit arrears and to consider more effective and efficient audit approaches, such as risk-based auditing and performance auditing.
Support was provided under this sub-component to strengthen the relationship between the Public Accounts and Public Investments Committees of Parliament and the Kenya National Audit Office.
