Strengthening Financial Management in Asia and the Pacific II
Asian Development Bank on 29 November 2018 approved a regional capacity development technical assistance (TA) program of $1,100,000 to support enhanced financial management capacity in Asia and the Pacific. The TA aims to: (i) improve the quality of financial audits by private and public audit professionals; (ii) support the adoption of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS); and (iii) develop the financial management and audit function capacity of staff in project executing and implementing agencies (EAs/IAs). The TA comprises the following outputs:
- Output 1: Private auditor quality assurance (QA) programs for Armenia, Cambodia, Georgia, Nepal, the Philippines, and Samoa;
- Output 2: Cash-based IPSAS implementation road map for Uzbekistan;
- Output 3: Audit quality management framework for Pakistan; and
- Output 4: Training of EA/IA and supreme audit institution (SAI) staff in financial management in all developing member countries (DMCs).
