Results

The INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation has successfully supported donor partners and supreme audit institutions in working more effectively together.

The INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation supported and led the task team which developed the SAI Performance Measurement Framework, a tool which has both helped SAIs better understand their strengths, weaknesses, and needs and which has provided donors with a benchmarking mechanism to measure and monitor progress in SAI performance.

The Global Call for Proposals has helped SAIs around the world develop project proposals and connected with donors. The Tier 2 initiative was the basis for the PAP-APP Programme, which successfully brought together nine SAIs from across Africa to collaborate in developing the core fundamentals to help their institutions succeed.

Research conducted and supported by the Cooperation has shed new light on how donors and SAIs can between coordinate and ensure support is SAI-lead and actively contributes to the SAI’s strategic goals. Evaluations by third-parties have found the work of the Cooperation to be effective and successful.
