Afghanistan Performance Audit, 2014-16

The proposed initiative intends to build the capacity of SAI Afghanistan in performance auditing, which has only recently been included within its mandate. In developing this capacity, the SAI will be able to help the Legislature to oversee that the executive constructively promote economical, effective and efficient governance. The proposal suggests a needs assessment by the IDI, and capacity building in performance auditing through training courses in line with ISSAI standards, and pilot audits, leading to implementation of the ISSAIs on performance auditing.
