Cooperation between the Swedish NAO and the National Audit Office of Tanzania

The Swedish NAO’s cooperation with the National Audit Office of Tanzania (NAOT), was established in 2004. The main objective is to strengthen the NAOT’s capacity to perform audits in accordance with international standards. The project period (2017-2020) covers a range of areas including quality assurance, performance audit as well as communication. The objective is to achieve high quality in the NAOT’s processes, products and external relations. The final bilateral cooperation phase, during 2021, aimed at consolidate results and progress achieved during the whole cooperation period as well as preparing for a efficient transition to continue the collaboration within SNAO’s regional East Africa project.
