Federal Government Economic Reform and Governance Project – Nigeria
This project’s subcomponent enhanced the capacity of the Auditor General of the Federation to contribute effectively to the efficiency, transparency and accountability of government operations.
Activities to Strengthen External audit included:
i) Restructuring of the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation (OAuGF) in line with a new audit law;
ii) Reviewing and modernizing audit approaches; and
iii) Capacity building for staff of the OAuGF and strengthening of its IT capacity.
