Improving Performance Accountability by Strengthening Dominican Republic SAI
The project aimed to improve accountability for public sector performance in the Dominican Republic by strengthening the institutional capacity of the Chamber of Accounts (SAI) to conduct its auditing role as mandated by the Constitution and the Law. The project helped improve the Chamber of Accounts capacity to perform external audits within the new public expenditure framework – enhancing the transparency and accountability of public entities and enhancing communication between the Chamber of Accounts, the Congress, and the public in general.
