The IDI is a non-profit organisation with the mandate to build the capacities of the staff of supreme audit institutions (SAIs) in developing countries. Its main functions include organizing and delivering training for supervisory staff; facilitating the application of professional guidance; facilitating the implementation of audit systems, procedures, and support services in line with best practices; and developing an effective knowledge management system.
