Myanmar Modernization of Public Finance Modernization Project is a $55 million UK DFID / Australia DFAT / DK / IDA credit co-funded PFM programme in Myanmar implemented by the World Bank. One component of the programme aims to enhance the operational effectiveness of the Office of the Audit General. The component aims to improve the timeliness of submission of audit reports to parliament, increase audit coverage and quality of financial audits, and to enhance the organizational effectiveness of the Auditor General. Achievements to date include near finalization of ISSAI based Financial Audit Guidelines and Manual, enhanced audit quality assurance processes, improved audit reporting to parliament and progress to enhance performance audits and IT audit capacity.
