Workshop on Results Based and Harmonized Project Reporting and Audit in Nepal-focus on Donor Funded Projects (sub project under a Regional Technical Assistance supported by the Asia Pacific Community of Practitioners on Managing for Development Results)
5 Day workshop for OAN and FCGO staff with participation from 7 regional SAIs to promote knowledge sharing. The main objective was to improve the quality and timeliness of submission of project financial statements in Nepal in order to enhance usefulness and output orientation in line with harmonized donor requirements. The outcome was to improve the timely submission of audited project financial statements for donor funded projects in fiscal year 2014 by 25% from fiscal year 2013 and improve the quality of public sector audit function in general with the auditing of donor funded projects setting the benchmark.
