Thirteenth INTOSAI-Donor Steering Committee Meeting
Thank you members and observers for the productive discussions we had during our annual meeting!
The 13th INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation Steering Committee meeting was organised as a virtual meeting due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting was run for three hours and run in two different time slots (West session 16th September / East session 17th September) to allow members from different time zones to join. Sessions were focused on information sharing and discussions on the way forward.
We continue our joint efforts towards fulfilling the strategic goals of the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation!
Open Session: SAI Independence
We held an open session on SAI Independence this year and invited all SAIs, partners and stakeholders around the world to joins us. There were 84 people attending on the 16th Sept and 61 on the 17th sept.
The discussions were centered around:
- How can the SAI Independence Goodwill Ambassador add most value?
- How can we operationalize the SAI Independence Rapid Advocacy Mechanism (SIRAM), and how can donors and INTOSAI support this?
- Enabling in-country donor staff to advocate for SAI Independence via the SAI Independence Resource Kit?
- World Bank update on work on SAI Independence
The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), the Auditor General of Somalia, European Commission and World Bank shared their insights, knowledge and experience during their initial presentations, while other members and observers participated actively and enriched the discussions afterwards.
Closed Session: Global Call for Proposals
This session was available only to members and observers of the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation.
